Realcompactification of frames
for each a ∈ A. We denote the top and bottom elements of a σ-frame A respectively by 1A and 0A. σ-Frame homomorphisms preserve countable joins and finite meets. The resulting category is denoted σFrm. Extending the above notions by allowing arbitrary subsets and arbitrary joins in the definitions leads to the notions of a frame and a frame homomorphism, and the corresponding category Frm of fra...
متن کاملA Proof of the Schauder - Tychonoff Theorem
We present a new proof of the version of the Shauder-Tychonov theorem provided by Coppel in Stability and Asymptotic Behavior of Differential Equations, Heath Mathematical Monographs, Boston (1965). Our alternative proof mainly relies on the Schauder fixed point theorem.
متن کاملA non - Tychonoff relatively normal subspace
This paper presents a new consistent example of a relatively normal subspace which is not Tychonoff.
متن کاملStrongly Screenableness and its Tychonoff Products
In this paper, we prove that if X is regular strongly screenable DC-like (C-scattered), then X × Y is strongly screenable for every strongly screenable space Y . We also show that the product ∏ i∈ω Yi is strongly screenable if every Yi is a regular strongly screenable DC-like space. Finally, we present that the strongly screenableness are poorly behaved with its Tychonoff products. Keywords—top...
متن کاملMaximal Tychonoff Spaces and Normal Isolator Covers
We introduce a new kind of cover called a normal isolator cover to characterize maximal Tychonoff spaces. Such a study is used to provide an alternative proof of an interesting result of Feng and Garcia-Ferreira in 1999 that every maximal Tychonoff space is extremally disconnected. Maximal tychonoffness of subspaces is also discussed.
